Tasting Notes
Deep garnet with aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, lavender, and garrigue herbs. The palate is medium-full bodied with flavors of ripe plum, black pepper, and roasted meat. Fine-grained tannins and bright acidity provide structure and aging potential.
The Blend
Typically a blend of Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, and Counoise, with exact proportions varying by vintage. All grapes are estate-grown from vines propagated directly from Château de Beaucastel cuttings.
